With Bible in Hand "Your kingdom come. Your wilL be done" The heading for our talk on 15th September, Will Man Destroy the Earth, is a grim question which, these days, may be asked with justifiable concern. Though for years a nuclear arsenal has existed that might achieve such a disaster, using it seems a pointless act of self-destruction Surely a more realistic threat lies in our polluting of the earth, sea, and air and in a soaring world population. These things are out of control and happening now. The Bible is God's book. It tells of his plans for His creation and extends an invitation to be part of them now. They involve the return of His son, Jesus Christ as king and the establishing of a government that wil transform the world and 'will stand forever'. (Daniel 2:4) Even now the earth belongs to God. As the Bible says, 'the earth is the Lord's and everything in it the world and all who live in it.' (Psalm 24:1) He did not 'create it in vain.
