With Bible in Hand The unfolding of God's words gives light These days our Sunday Bible talks often refer to the current state of the world and the man-made problems that threaten to destroy life on our planet. This is because the Bible speaks of our troubled times but it also reveals God's plan of rescue with the establishing his kingdom on the earth. For example, the prophet Daniel says that "The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed and it will stand for ever". (Daniel 2:44) At a personal level, too, Jesus knows more than a little about our human condition and gave his life to set his followers free from it. He offers his help now. "Come to me". He says.
